Hand made soap is very different to commercially mass produced soap as it contains nourishing oils, natural scents and the naturally produced glycerine which many manufacturers remove. The traditional way to make soap is to use the cold processed method. This method allows the ‘soaper’ to make the soap with which ever oils and butters they like. It is for this reason many people turn to making their own soap as they can choose the ingredients which suit their families skincare needs.
The cold processed soap making method sometimes scares people as it involves using caustic soda. This is why a soap making course is so important as it will show you how to use it safely to produce your own bar of vegan friendly all natural soap.
On our popular one day soap making course you will learn the basics of cold process soap making and take away 1 batch (approx.8 bars) of your own created soap to use at home or give away as gifts. The course covers the following:

You will need to bring:
An old towel, shoe box or cardboard box to transport the soap home in, an apron and rubber gloves
You will need to wear:
A long sleeve top and proper shoes – no open toes please!!
